2010年《全球艾滋病疫情报告》显示艾滋病蔓延势头已获遏制

今年是发现艾滋病29周年，联合国艾滋病规划署11月23日发布的2010年《全球艾滋病疫情报告》显示，艾滋病蔓延势头已经得到遏制并开始扭转。
报告说，在至少56个国家，艾滋病传播速度已经呈现稳定或显著下降趋势，这些国家包括几乎所有撒哈拉以南非洲国家。
南非和印度2009年将近50万人感染艾滋病病毒，但与1999年相比，两国新增感染者人数下降幅度分别超过一半和三分之一。
全球范围内，同1999年相比，新增艾滋病病毒感染者人数减少了20％。过去5年间，死于艾滋病的患者减少了将近20％，母婴艾滋病传播病例减少了24％。
12月1日是世界艾滋病日，今年的主题与去年相同，仍为“普遍可及和人权”，意在强调实现艾滋病预防、治疗、关怀和支持的普遍可及是保护人权的当务之急。
自1981年美国发现首例艾滋病病例后，艾滋病在全球范围内迅速蔓延。世界卫生组织1988年1月将每年12月1日定为世界艾滋病日，号召世界各国和国际组织在这一天举办相关活动，宣传和普及预防艾滋病的知识。

This year marks the 29th anniversary of the discovery of AIDS, UNAIDS released November 23, 2010, "Global AIDS epidemic report"shows that the momentum has been to contain the spread of AIDS and begin to reverse.
Reported that at least 56 countries, HIV transmission rate has shown a trend of stable or decreased significantly, almost all these countries, including sub-Saharan African countries.
South Africa and India in 2009 nearly 50 million people infected with HIV, but compared with 1999, the number of new infections between the two countries were more than half of the decline and the third.
Globally, compared with 1999, the number of new HIV infections by 20%. Over the past 5 years, patients who died of AIDS dropped by nearly 20% fewer cases of mother to child HIV transmission by 24%.
December 1 is World AIDS Day, the theme of this year, same as last year, is still "Universal Access and Human Rights ", intended to emphasize the implementation of AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support universal access and the protection of human rights imperative.
Since 1981, the United States after the first case of AIDS cases, AIDS spread rapidly worldwide. World Health Organization in January 1988 to December 1 every year as World AIDS Day, calling on countries and international organizations in this day of the related activities to promote and popularize the knowledge of AIDS prevention.
