专家倡议全民检测HIV 有望40年内让艾滋病病毒消亡

据新华社电 医学专家研究发现，抗病毒治疗不仅能延长艾滋病患者寿命，还能降低艾滋病病毒传染性。专家倡议，将人类免疫缺陷病毒（HIV）检测列为全民例行体检项目，尽早发现病毒携带者，及时进行抗病毒治疗，如此有望在5年内抑制艾滋病传播，40年内让艾滋病病毒在人类社会自行消亡。

世界卫生组织前官员、南非流行病学模型和分析中心流行病学教授布赖恩·威廉斯在美国科学促进会年会上说，抗病毒治疗能使病毒浓度降至原来的万分之一，从而使病毒传染性降至原来的二十五分之一，这就意味着如果更多的病毒携带者能够尽早接受抗病毒治疗，那么新增感染病例就会减少。
美国有线电视新闻网网站21日援引他的话报道：“我们可能在5年内有效抑制（艾滋病）传播。”
威廉斯建议，年满15岁者每年接受HIV检测，以便尽早发现感染者，尽早进行抗病毒治疗。
