　　艾滋病感染期症全省共检测报告新发现艾滋病病人和感染者121例，较去年同期报告数（69例）上升75.36%，这证明浙江省艾滋病感染已进入了加速增长期。

　　浙江省是全国最早发现艾滋病感染者的省份之一。艾滋病感染期症自1985年首次检出艾滋病感染者以来，至6月30日，全省累计报告艾滋病病人及感染者686例，其中艾滋病感染期症状艾滋病人110例，死亡57例。仅2003年就报告艾滋病病人及感染者156例，占前18年累计报告数的38.1%。据专家估计，全省实际艾滋病病人及感染者已超过1万人。在艾滋病感染者中，20-39岁的青壮年占76%。浙江省发现的艾滋病病人及感染者主要为外地流动人员，占68.66%，静脉注射毒品是主要传播手段，占47.38%，性接触传播占25.21%。但浙江本地人的传播途径则以性接触传播为主，占53.89%。杭州市最近从56名自愿检测的男性同性恋人群中，检测到2名艾滋病病毒抗体初筛阳性（可能感染者），初筛阳性率为3.57%。这说明性生活方面的洁身自好非常重要。

　　艾滋病感染期症重在早发现、早预防。浙江通过7年建设，艾滋病感染期症构筑了十分健全的艾滋病性病监测网络———有5个艾滋病国家监测哨点、11个省级监测哨点、4个艾滋病行为监测哨点和11个性病监测哨点，全年监测高危人群和重点人群。
