专家说可躲避人免疫系统的艾滋病病毒在扩散

新华网东京2月28日电(记者钱铮)一个国际研究小组在最新一期《自然》杂志上报告说,对8个国家约2800名艾滋病病毒感染者的分析显示,由于基因变异而能躲避人免疫系统攻击的艾滋病病毒正在扩散。
艾滋病病毒侵入人体后在细胞内反复增殖,导致感染者发病。另一方面,一旦感染了艾滋病病毒,人的免疫细胞就会攻击与人组织相容性抗原结合的艾滋病病毒。在这种作用下,受感染的细胞数量会减少,但是不能完全被排除。
日本熊本大学研究人员参与的这个国际小组由此推测,是不是艾滋病病毒发生了变异,因此能躲过人免疫系统的攻击。研究人员对日本、英国、南非等8个国家约2800名艾滋病病毒感染者进行了分析,他们发现与人组织相容性抗原结合的艾滋病病毒的蛋白质共有14处发生了变异。另外,有一些感染者先天拥有某种特定类型的人组织相容性抗原,他们当中约96%的感染者的细胞内测出了变异的艾滋病病毒,而不具备这种特定抗原的感染者中也有29%的人体内存在变异的艾滋病病毒。
研究人员推测,在拥有上述特定类型抗原的感染者体内,变异的艾滋病病毒不断增殖,并通过性接触等途径散播到不具备这种特定抗原的人体内。
据推算,迄今艾滋病已经夺走了约2500万人的生命,目前全球还有3300万名艾滋病病毒感染者。针对艾滋病病毒的疫苗还未达到实用水平,艾滋病防控形势面临严峻考验。参加上述研究的科研人员指出,目前开发疫苗所使用的艾滋病病毒还属于约20年前发现的类型,这项新研究成果说明,有必要尽快改变艾滋病病毒疫苗开发的现行战略。
