每8个死亡病例就有1人死于癌症

新华社消息 世界卫生组织2日警告说,如果人们不认真采取措施预防癌症,到2030年全球每年的癌症死亡人数将可能在现有基础上翻番,达1700万。
世卫组织是在2月4日“世界癌症日”到来之前发出上述警告的。世卫组织说,无论在发达国家还是发展中国家,癌症都是导致人们死亡的主要“杀手”之一。今年预计全球将有760万人死于癌症。如果不紧急行动起来应对这一公共卫生挑战,癌症死亡人数还将持续激增。
世卫组织的统计数据显示,目前全球平均每8个死亡病例中就有1人死于癌症,这比艾滋病、结核病和疟疾导致的死亡人数总和还要高。而且,每年全球还有超过1200万人被确诊患上癌症。
世卫组织的研究显示,通过戒烟、健康饮食、锻炼身体、控制饮酒等简单措施,30%的癌症病例可以预防。世卫组织将每年的2月4日定为“世界癌症日”,今年的主题是“癌症也能预防”。
