In the dairies before, I’ve explained what Las means. Today we went to Las Americas. First took bus 41 to the end—Fashion Valley, then transfer to the Green Line to Old Town, then to Blue Line. After arrived at the destination and walked for about 10 minutes, we found Las Americas. It’s easy to say than do, for a few people there can speak English, though they are very good at Spanish. We met three guys on the blue line, they most of them can speak very good Spanish.
I mean asking way is the biggest problem, but I’m sure that they could understand me well, for they’ve been asked the same question for many times maybe, so they could easily gave the answer, sure I didn’t understand them because it’s in pure Spanish. Sometimes I could got some information by their body language, and that helped me a lot.
Las Americas is very near the boarder between USA.and Mexico, so many famous stores gathered there, some are duty free. Sure I couldn’t remember the all the names of the stores, but Nick Factory Store gave me a very deep impression. By the way, the clerks here could speak very good English.
Goods there are relatively cheaper, some are in discount, and some are the so called “buy one get one”. Clothes, shows, cosmetics and so on could be seen everywhere. May it could take ladies a whole day to finish going window-shopping, but it only took us about 3 hours to finish the whole course.
We sit at one parking lot and smocked a little while, a police woman on her tram reached us, she asked me if we were OK, when I said sorry to her, she said sitting here didn’t matter. Then I joked her and asked if I could have a try on the tram, she refused me with a very kind smile. A Mexicon little boy passed by and said hello to us in Chinese, that made me rather surprised.
We take the blue line and transfer to bus 44, that is the most effective road, for on the way back, we didn’t have to wait for sb.
The goods I bought are 5 pairs of socks. It took me quite some time to find them. Different from China, American socks are either long cut or short, cut, seldom in the middle. They took me more than $10.
