China Innovation and Enterprise Growth Conference 2010 (CI&G 2010)


I.Introduction

The technological innovation academic research in China has a history of 20 years, while the research for enterprise growth has been 16 years. One of the social tendencies nowadays in China is to establish such an innovation system, which is an enterprise-based, market-oriented and industry-university-research institute-incorporated system. Such innovation system will lead and support more innovation elements tilting to enterprises; therefore enterprises can have a healthy & faster growth. Enterprises have to improve their capability of innovation persistently, otherwise they can not gain the competition advantages of management & development in such highly competitive market, and might be losing the opportunity for a better & faster growth. In 2008, The Ministry of Science and Technology of China, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and All China Federation of Trade Unions jointly elected 91 national innovative enterprises. These enterprises have become the bench-marks for other companies.

To further discuss the relevant theories and practical questions, we plan to hold China Innovation and Firm Growth Conference 2010 (CI&G 2010). The conference has invited scholars from relevant areas and disciplines to establish the academic committee, which will in charge of paper audit. We look forward to peers’ arrival and participation in discussing the topics we all focused into sincerely.

II.Major Topics

1. Innovation:  1) The Financial Crisis and Significant Innovation.2) The Innovation Model of Chinese Enterprises under the background of  Global Value Chain Specialization.  3) Product Innovation, Manufacture Innovation and Business Model Innovation under Network Condition.  4) The Interactive System among Technological Innovation, Management Innovation and Service Innovation under Network Condition. 5) The Aggregation Effect of Innovation Cluster and Innovation Community (such as Science Park, Business Incubator). 6) Cases and Typical Innovation Models of Early Opened Regions since the start of Reform and open-to-the-outside-world policy.

The Possible Approaches and Typical Models of Enterprise  Growth: 1) The Essential Content of Enterprise Growth. 2) The Influential Factor and Growth Model of Enterprise Growth in Different  Industries and Life Stages.   3) The Influential Factor and Model of Enterprise Growth under Network Environment. 4) Enterprise Internal Value Chain, External Value Network and Growth.  5) Comparison of Regions and Nations of Enterprise Growth under Different Policy Environment.

The Relationship between Innovation and Enterprise Growth:1) Entrepreneurship under Technological Innovation or Service Innovation.2) Innovation Entrepreneurship and the Growth of Startup Companies.3) Innovation and the Growth of Traditional Industry Companies. 4) Innovation and the Growth of High-tech Company.5) The Procedure Mechanism of turning Innovation into Firm Growth Performance.
