April 27, 2009 afternoon, the Chinese Ministry of Health and the Clinton Foundation AIDS treatment and care of the first cooperation project monitoring committee meeting was held in Beijing. Finance Ministry of Health Regulation Division, Disease Control Bureau, Department of Medicine, Women's Social Secretary, International Department, China Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and the Clinton Foundation, attended the meeting.

The Meeting considered and adopted the list of project supervision as well as members of the Committee membership list of the national project office has confirmed the progress of the project year 2008, considered the project plan in 2009 and made amendments. Meeting stressed the need to further strengthen the communication between the project partners, project activities and to work closely with all parts of our overall plan for AIDS prevention and treatment, AIDS treatment and care to resolve the difficulties and problems and weaknesses of links.

In 2004, the Chinese Ministry of Health and the Clinton Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation, cooperation projects to start AIDS. The project is divided into with the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS Center, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and provincial projects, AIDS treatment, laboratory capacity building and staff training and other activities. April 2009 the two sides signed a "People's Republic of China Ministry of Health and the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Foundation on AIDS treatment and care for co-operation agreement on project management mechanisms" in order to integrate the use of resources and better coordination of the implementation of the project.
