  【搜狐科学消息】 据英国《新科学家》杂志报道,美国研究人员利用基因转移技术开发出一种新型艾滋病疫苗,该方法完全绕过了激活人体天然免疫系统反应这一常规途径,通过将携带类抗体蛋白的腺群病毒注射入猕猴肌肉中,就能制造出附着性免疫蛋白,从而成功使猕猴对一种与艾滋病病毒极为相似的猿猴免疫缺陷病毒(SIV)产生了免疫功能。该成果为人类艾滋病疫苗的研究带来了新希望。

 
 
相关研究当日发表在最新出版的《自然-医学》杂志网络版上。

  研究表明,9只注射这种新型疫苗的猕猴成功抵抗了SIV病毒的侵袭。这种新型疫苗绕过了猕猴的免疫系统,而是将猕猴的肌肉变成了抗体工厂,有效杀死了SIV病毒。

  新型疫苗违背了常规方法。众所周知,常规办法常常使用一种物质激活人体免疫系统,使其产生抗体,以期消灭病毒。然而临床试验的结果并不乐观,正如人体自身不能产生有效反应来防止艾滋病感染一样,艾滋病疫苗也无法引起保护性免疫反应。相反,负责该研究的美国费城儿童医院首席科学家菲利普·约翰逊博士和他的同事则采取了跨越式技术,绕过了先前研究所关注的天然免疫系统反应,另辟蹊径,通过无害病毒携带能生产附着性免疫蛋白(immunoadhesins) 的类抗体蛋白的基因,采用基因转移技术,达到了防止感染艾滋病的目的。
