联合国面临110亿美元艾滋病防治资金缺口

(记者郭春菊)肯尼亚《民族日报》28日援引联合国艾滋病规划署官员乔伊·巴科里的话说,尽管主要捐助方都没有削减援助资金,但联合国艾滋病规划署在2010年之前仍面临着110亿美元的艾滋病防治资金缺口。
据报道,除了捐助资金不足外,一些国家政府的有关投入也不够。肯尼亚治疗25.3万艾滋病病毒感染者需要170亿肯尼亚先令(1美元约合78肯尼亚先令)。捐助方提供的资金以及肯尼亚政府提供的9亿肯尼亚先令不足以让肯尼亚的艾滋病病毒感染者全面获得医疗。
调查表明,在非洲从事艾滋病防治的非政府组织中,许多资金被用于人员和行政开支,只有少部分资金被用在需要治疗的艾滋病病毒感染者身上。
正在肯尼亚首都内罗毕举行的全球公民峰会的与会人士27日呼吁,非洲国家政府应投入更多资金防治艾滋病,以避免捐助方因受金融危机影响削减防治艾滋病援助引发的危机。
为期3天的全球公民峰会27日在内罗毕举行,旨在让世界各地的艾滋病防治机构和人员共同讨论通过社会动员全面防治艾滋病、关心支持艾滋病防治问题。
