金夫人希望年轻球员重视艾滋 阿加西夫妇助阵表演赛

新浪体育讯 北京时间11月12日消息，由37座大满贯得主比利-简-金帮助创立的WTT(世界团体网球联盟)赛将于下周一在华盛顿展开第18届的争夺。届时，金女士将与英国摇滚明星艾尔顿-约翰一起为筹款以提高艾滋病的研究和防治水平而举行Smash Hits，众多大腕球星也会到场助阵。
金和约翰于1973年开始分别推动音乐和体育事业(尤其是网球)，20年后，约翰创立了艾尔顿-约翰艾滋病基金，并在WTT首席执行官拉娜-克劳斯的支持下与金合办了Smash Hits。WTT Smash Hits每年都会在不同的城市举办，艾尔顿-约翰艾滋病基金会同时选择一家当地的艾滋病组织展开合作，赛事门票和拍卖的收入都会用于艾滋病的研究和防治。自17年前举办以来，Smash Hits已经取得了960万美金的收入，金希望今年这个比赛能突破1000万美金大关。
艾滋病在网球运动中并不是一个随机事件，网坛传奇阿瑟-阿什曾因在外科手术中不行感染了HIV病毒而于1993年离世。阿什的事例令年长的运动员们开始关注艾滋病对网坛的影响。金女士则认为年轻选手也得重视起来，她在WTT发表的博文写道，“在美国，新增艾滋病患者有百分之三十五是13岁到29岁的年轻人群，这个数字很惊人，但我们必须得面对这个现实，也必须去击败这个挑战。我认为也许年轻选手们没有发生诸如此类的事情，但我们得告诉他们。你对历史了解的越多，你才能越多的了解自己。”
本次在华盛顿举办的Smash Hits会遵循WTT一贯的赛制，艾尔顿和金各组一队进行团体对抗。艾尔顿队由阿加西、格拉芙、库尔尼科娃和甘比尔组成，金女士队则派出纳芙拉蒂诺娃、菲利普西斯、诺尔斯与斯塔布斯迎战。比赛共分为男单、男双、女双和混双四项，每项均以一盘定胜负。
由于有像阿加西、格拉芙、库尔尼科娃这样的大牌球星，买票观赛的球迷们也很期待比赛的质量。对此，金坦言，“我和艾尔顿很不喜欢因为球员不够好就说这是表演赛的说法。我们的运动员会通过迷你麦克风与观众互动，但他们同时也在比赛，观众可以看到们的球技。我们觉得突出他们的球技非常重要，因为这些都是令人赞叹的选手。”
