联合国将为孕产妇提供“母婴艾滋病保健包”

联合国30日在纽约发布的一份儿童与艾滋病评估报告说,只要国际社会积极致力于实现艾滋病预防、治疗和社会保障的普遍可及,并特别关注那些受艾滋病影响最严重的边缘和弱势群体,避免下一代人遭受艾滋病困扰的目标是可以实现的。
这份报告由联合国儿童基金会、联合国艾滋病规划署、联合国教科文组织、联合国人口基金以及世界卫生组织联合撰写,今年是连续第五年发布。报告说,虽然全球艾滋病整体应对机制近年来不断进步,但世界范围内仍有数百万女性和儿童因为根深蒂固的性别、经济收入、居住环境、教育水平以及社会地位不平等问题而处于社会边缘,她们同时也是遭受艾滋病影响最严重的弱势群体。
联合国儿基会执行主任安东尼·莱克在报告发布仪式上说,目前的一个严峻事实是,在撒哈拉以南非洲地区,每天有近1000名婴儿因母婴传播感染艾滋病,他们中的大部分无法获得相应治疗,半数以上婴儿在两岁以前死亡,而这一悲剧是可以通过相关预防措施避免的。
莱克说,为了帮助那些身处贫困、偏远地区的妇女应对艾滋病,联合国于今年推出了创新性的措施——发放“母婴艾滋病保健包”,为孕产妇及婴儿提供从怀孕14周到产后6周需要的抗逆转录病毒药物和抗生素。 据联合国儿童基金会艾滋病防治负责人吉米·科尔克尔介绍,“母婴艾滋病保健包”使得孕期妇女更加便利地获取相关药物,也避免了当地诊所药品储备不足的问题,切实阻止艾滋病的母婴“纵向传播”。目前,保健包已开始在喀麦隆、肯尼亚、莱索托以及赞比亚四国试点发放,并将于2011年扩大到更多国家。
报告同时呼吁各国增加投入,进一步强化青少年生殖健康教育,开展艾滋病预防宣传,提高年轻一代的艾滋病预防能力。报告显示,2009年全球每天仍有超过7000人感染艾滋病病毒,大约41%是15岁~24岁的年轻人;在南部非洲,平均每20名15岁至24岁的年轻人中即有一人感染艾滋病,其中近70%为女性。

The report by UNICEF, UNAIDS, UNESCO, the United Nations Population Fund and the World Health Organization co-authored, published this year is the fifth consecutive year. Reported that although the global AIDS response mechanisms in recent years the overall progress, but there are still millions of the world women and children because of deep-rooted gender, income, living conditions, education level and social status inequalities and the margins of society, they also also suffered the worst effects of AIDS vulnerable groups.
Foundation Executive Director of the United Nations children Anthony Lake said in the report launch ceremony, now a serious fact that in sub-Saharan Africa, nearly 1,000 babies every day because of mother to child transmission of HIV, most of them can not access to appropriate treatment, more than half of infants die before the age of two, and this tragedy can be avoided through the relevant preventive measures.
Lake said that in order to help those in poverty, women's response to AIDS in remote areas, the United Nations this year launched an innovative measures - issue a "mother to child HIV care package" for pregnant women and infants from pregnancy at 6 weeks postpartum 14 and thoughtful need of antiretroviral drugs and antibiotics. According to UNICEF, AIDS is responsible for Jimmy Kerr Kerr, the "maternal and child AIDS care package," Pregnant women make more convenient access to related drugs, but also to avoid the local clinic drugs problem of insufficient reserves, effectively prevent AIDS in the mother Baby "vertical transmission." Currently, the health-care package has started in Cameroon, Kenya, Lesotho and Zambia, the pilot released the four countries, and in 2011 expanded to more countries.
The report also called on countries to increase investment, to further strengthen adolescent reproductive health education, AIDS prevention campaigns, improve the ability of the younger generation of AIDS prevention. The report shows that in 2009 there are still over 7,000 people a day worldwide infected with HIV, approximately 41% is 15 years old to 24 year olds; in southern Africa, with an average age of 15 every 20 to 24 year olds that have one infected with HIV, of which nearly 70% were female.
