她们会在服刑人员生日时送上生日餐，但却忘记了为自己的孩子点上一支生日蜡烛；她们会认真审阅批改服刑人员的作业试卷，但十天半个月都抽不出时间在自己孩子的作业本上写个“阅”字；她们会在床边尽心尽责服侍病危犯，却在自己父母生病时倒不了一杯水，拿不了一片药……家人都是“小事”，唯有服刑人员是“大事”。“三八”节临近，记者走进大墙采访，了解监狱女警生活、工作背后的甘辛。
曲荣闽：让艾滋病犯脱胎换骨
曲荣闽，省监狱管理局中心医院女病犯监区政治教导员，30年“老警察”的她被罪犯当作最信赖的亲人。
吕红（化名）2006年曾因拐卖人口罪被判刑8年投入省女子监狱改造。后因查出患有艾滋病(因其家境贫穷，非法卖血而被传染)，被转入省局中心医院，一边接受治疗，一边改造。吕红由于恶习较深，性格偏执，总把自己的犯罪和患病归因于社会，还常常利用人们对艾滋病的惧怕心理，找人滋事，民警找她谈话，弄不好她还动手抓人，具有强烈的暴力倾向，并曾扬言要把艾滋病传染给每个人。
面对这样一名棘手的顽危犯，带队民警曲荣闽多次单独找吕红谈心，主动同她握手，还从吕红的菜盘中夹菜吃，这些举动渐渐赢得了吕红的信任和感激，她与人对视的眼神开始变得不再那么敌视。发现这一变化后，曲荣闽更是在生活上无微不至地关心她。一次，吕红艾滋病发作，浑身起满疱疹，整整一周，曲荣闽和周凤、凌玲等民警一起在病房中不仅精心治疗她，还为她端茶喂饭。病情好转后的吕红，再一次见到曲荣闽时，一头扎进了她的怀里。
在曲荣闽和全体监区民警的激励下，吕红改造的信心越来越足，并主动担负起感染病房的内务卫生及环境卫生的清扫，积极参加康复劳动锻炼，2009年一季度受到记功奖励一次，同年监区为她呈报了减刑。
据了解，30多年来，像吕红这样被曲荣闽成功教育感化的有数百人。
吴秋瑾：警营里的“花木兰”
女子监狱二分监区的分监区长吴秋瑾，在工作上，由于她的干练、果断，被同事们喻为警营中的“花木兰”。吴秋瑾自1988年参加工作以来，有12年的除夕是在监区陪着服刑人员度过，教育挽救了数以百计的重点犯和顽危犯。
去年夏天，吴秋瑾患上罕见的皮肤过敏症。双手长满红包。医生给她开了外敷的药，并叮嘱她这种药不能见光不能淌汗，否则会感染。走出医院大门，她就把医生的话抛在脑后。酷热的天，她戴着手套，骑着车就来上班了。到了办公室以后，手套却怎么也摘不下来，原来，汗水和阳光的照射将伤口燎出了十来个大水泡，被手套磨烂以后皮肉和布都粘在了一起。同事们看着她手上用力扯下手套之后血肉模糊的手背，眼睛全都红了。她却故作轻松地说，“没事，没有多疼，就是看着挺恶心。”一句话把大家的眼泪都说了出来。
