加拿大数千人恐因医疗失误感染病毒

加拿大首都渥太华卫生部门10月15日说，由于渥太华一家医疗机构存在感染控制方面的失误，致使约6800名曾在该机构就诊的患者存在感染肝炎或艾滋病病毒的风险。
渥太华卫生官员伊斯拉·利维在市政厅召开的记者会上说，卫生部门在今年夏天的检查中发现，这家医疗机构在感染控制方面存在失误。据估计，过去10年间在此就医的约6800人存在感染艾滋病病毒、乙型肝炎病毒和丙型肝炎病毒的风险。不过，利维没有明确指出是哪家医疗机构。
利维说，这些人感染肝炎或者艾滋病病毒的风险实际上非常低，目前也尚未接到有人因为该医疗机构的失误而感染病毒的报告，但卫生部门仍决定告知那些存在感染风险的人，建议其到医院进行血液检查。
