博茨瓦纳艾滋病项目继续获政府大力支持

新华网哈博罗内２月１１日电（记者罗淑珍 郭骏）博茨瓦纳近日发布的２０１１－２０１２财年预算报告显示，政府将继续在艾滋病防治领域进行高额投入。
预算报告显示，负责艾滋病防治事务的国家艾滋病协调局获得９．８１亿普拉（约合１．４５亿美元）的预算投入，占所属政府部门新财年预算的８８％。
国家艾滋病协调局负责人理查德·马特尔哈雷表示，在国家新财年缩减预算以减少赤字的情况下，艾滋病防治项目仍获得较高额的预算，该局将充分利用好这笔预算，把资金用在最需要的地方。
马特尔哈雷指出，预防是阻止艾滋病蔓延最有效的方法，艾滋病检测、避孕宣传、社区动员活动等项目的投入将在预算中占较大比例。另外，抗逆转录病毒治疗、预防母婴传染、孤儿援助和家庭健康等项目也是重要的预算分配领域。
博茨瓦纳是世界上艾滋病感染率最高的国家之一，约２４．６％的成年人感染了艾滋病病毒。博政府对艾滋病防治投入了大量资金，目前该国已建立起比较完善的艾滋病监测体系，并建立了医疗站，接受抗逆转录病毒治疗者人数逐年增加。
