在这项最新研究中美国研究人员发现，HLA B57促使身体产生更多强大的杀伤T细胞。杀伤T细胞是会对具有感染性的入侵者发起攻击的白细胞。与没有这种基因的人相比，那些拥有HLA B57的人体内含有大量可以束缚住艾滋病毒蛋白的T细胞。拥有HLA B57的人，体内的T细胞更有可能识别出代表艾滋病毒蛋白的细胞，其中包括在感染过程中产生的变异蛋白。
专家认为，这些发现或许有助于科学家研发出艾滋病疫苗，它引起的免疫响应，与具有HLA B57基因的人对艾滋病毒做出的免疫响应一样。
艾滋病是人类的公敌，严重威胁着世界各国人民的健康。近年来，我国艾滋病患者也在不断增加，主要以异性接触和静脉吸毒作为主要传播途径。

5、衰老
艾滋病的另一个症兆就是痴呆综合症。记忆力衰退，性格古怪，这些本来是老年人的生理变化，可以在二十几岁、三十几岁的艾滋病患者身上发生。患者大都精神变异，无法控制自己，精力衰竭。
6、疲乏、消瘦
艾滋病患者常常感觉疲乏不堪，以致早晨起床困难;梳头也感觉十分吃力;晚间发烧盗汗并导致体重的下降;牙龈肿痛，胃口不好，厌食，最后患者骨瘦如柴，呈现骷髅状态。
有上述症状发生的人，一定要及时到医院检查，以防感染艾滋病。
