通过评论政客的观点学习经济学?

Gregory Mankiw is a popular  professor of economics at Havard University. Occasionally I browse his blog and have a fun there.  He is really a diligent blogger and you seldom have a chance to find out that he is absent from his blog.

What amazing me most is how he has so many topics to talk about. And when I read one of his recent essays, I read a reply that said:

Seems the real lesson here is that if one wants to learn about economics while working in DC, it is prudent to repudiate anything and everything uttered by a politician.
Yes, the comment really remind me to notice that many of mankiw's articles are in similar style, you might read a short passage of message quoted from some key newspaper or journal, and then followed by Mankiw's opinion to explain  why he supported or opposed  the point.

It is also feasible to imitate the way in China since there are many people, whether politicians or folks,  like to express their viewpoints on economic issues.  The only shortcoming is there is only few  English media in China. China Daily is the most quoted resources and if you have enough time you might have a quick look at key topics published on the Wallstreet Journal and New York Times, the Washington Post is also a good choice to me.

Reading foreign newspaper is not a boring job since it always give me alternative perspectives on Chinese issues. Fortunately, many of the above mentioned sources have not been blocked to the mainland netizens, though we are not always lucky to successfully open and browse some Taiwan websites.
