足迹：４０多岁的河南上蔡县农村妇女聂沾怎么也没有想到，国务院总理温家宝会在新春之际来看望艾滋病人。“我还跟总理座谈，跟他合影了呐！”她逢人就自豪地说。
２００５年春节来临之际，温家宝来到河南农村，看望和慰问艾滋病患者，并与他们共度春节。聂沾作为上蔡县文楼村的代表参加了与总理的座谈会。
参加座谈前，聂沾还真犯了难。她说，如果作为健康人受到总理接见一定很高兴，但自己是艾滋病患者，去见总理的时候心情很复杂。可是总理在座谈时说，你们是不幸染病的。“我的心情一下子好多了！”她说。
座谈在大年三十上午举行，下午，聂沾就回到家高高兴兴地忙活起来：包饺子、贴门联、做年夜饭。更出乎她意料的是，初一上午开始，家里的客人就络绎不绝，都是来打听和总理座谈的事。
聂沾说，自他们染病以来，家里就很冷清，邻居亲戚很少走动，过年也就是与两个上学的儿子过，今年可是人来人往，热热闹闹的，增添了不少喜庆，“这是总理带来的福气，总理还带来了我对生活的信心。”
聂沾夫妇所在的文楼村是上蔡县艾滋病较严重的村庄之一，政府拨了专款，艾滋病患者可以免费治疗，子女免费上学。在服用抗病毒药物后不久，聂沾夫妇的病情就得到控制，度过适应期后，身体状况明显好转。
他们还在当地政府的帮助下贷款一万元办起了家庭养猪场，去年出栏１００多头猪，净挣一万多元，还清了贷款。在座谈会上，聂沾把这个好消息告诉了温家宝总理。“电视机、沙发和摩托车都是用卖猪的钱添置的，总理听了很高兴。”她说。
去年，河南省向文楼村等３８个全省艾滋病重点村派出了驻村工作队，帮助患者治疗，改善生产生活条件。经过一年的努力，文楼村的面貌发生很大变化。村里建起了设施完备的小学、深井自来水塔、标准化卫生所和群众文化活动广场，实现了村通公路、户通自来水。文楼村再也不是两年前与世隔绝、悲观失望的样子了。
根据卫生部公布的数字，中国内地现有艾滋病感染者约８４万。专家认为，中国艾滋病疫情正处于由高危人群向普通人群大面积扩散的临界点。
对此，兼任卫生部部长的吴仪副总理明确表示，中国将“动员组织全社会力量，不失时机全面推进防治工作，坚决遏制艾滋病在中国快速传播和流行的势头。”
与此同时，多位国家领导人看望艾滋病患者，与他们握手、交谈，国务院还组织召开了自１９９６年以来第一次全国范围内的艾滋病防治工作会议，形成了跨部委、跨省区的工作平台，并陆续出台多项政策。海外媒体普遍评论：中国告别了对待艾滋病的暧昧与被动时代。
