海地灾区大量截肢伤员和艾滋病患者急需医疗服务

 中新网1月27日电 据联合国网站报道,世界卫生组织1月26日表示,海地灾后医疗服务的重点已经从紧急医疗救治转变为术后护理和初级卫生保健。海地目前有大量截肢患者需要术后护理,此外该国数万名因地震而中断治疗的艾滋病毒感染者也急需恢复抗逆转录治疗。

  世卫组织表示,大地震使海地出现了大量的截肢服务需求,当地的一些医院每天都要施行数十例乃至上百例截肢手术。目前,世卫组织和其他医疗机构在海地的工作重点是提供更多、更好的康复及其他术后服务,使患者能够从截肢手术中恢复,因此迫切需要更多能够帮助截肢者恢复的康复及其他方面的医护人员和专家。

  世卫组织将与国际残疾协会共同提出一项计划,以便为截肢者提供最好的医疗护理。

  世卫组织还指出,海地至少有12万艾滋病毒感染者,其中有一半需要抗逆转录病毒治疗,但由于大地震造成的破坏,很多人的治疗恐已中断,因此,恢复这些人的治疗迫在眉睫。

  海地震后的初级卫生保健是当前另一个值得关注的问题。世卫组织正在通过向流离失所者聚集点以及其他一些灾民移居地派遣流动诊所的做法,提供卫生和预防服务,以期增强灾区的初级卫生保健。

WHO will work with Handicap International to co-sponsor a program for amputees to provide the best medical care.

WHO also notes that Haiti, at least 12 million HIV infected people, half of which need to antiretroviral therapy, but because of the damage caused by the earthquake, many people fear the treatment has been interrupted, therefore, the treatment of imminent resumption of these people .
