艾滋病，1981年在美国首次发现和确认。全名为“获得性免疫缺陷综合征”。为提高人们对艾滋病的认识，世界卫生组织设立世界艾滋病日，号召世界各国和国际组织在这一天举办相关活动，宣传和普及预防艾滋病的知识。

    宣传和普及预防艾滋病知识的世界艾滋病日（World Aids Day）是每年的12月1日。1997年联合国艾滋病规划署将“世界艾滋病日”更名为“世界艾滋病防治宣传运动”，使艾滋病防治宣传贯穿全年。参与调查的绝大多数网友都能够了解世界艾滋病日是12月1日，大约占了八成左右。但对于艾滋病的实质有一部分网民还是不大清楚，有9.51%的网民认为艾滋病是一种性病，有大约13%的网民则认为艾滋病是一种血液疾病，还有9%左右的网民认为艾滋病是一种“同性恋病”，只有68%左右的网民对这个问题认识比较准确，认为艾滋病是获得性免疫缺陷综合征。

    关于艾滋病的传播途径，很多网民都能够有所了解，主要是通过空气传播、母婴传播、血液传播、性传播等途径。我们要关爱艾滋病感染者及艾滋病患者，不要远离，使他们感到温暖，与他们进行亲切交谈、握手、共同进餐等日常接触，并且为他们的亲友提供有关艾滋病的护理和防治知识，帮助他们树立战胜艾滋病的信心，在参与调查的绝大多数网民中，大家都能够关心并关爱艾滋病感染者，为他们提供帮助，还有一小部分的人仍然对于艾滋病感染者接触有所顾虑，他们会选择远离艾滋病患者，不与他们一起吃饭，不适用他们用过的马桶等，这样的网民占了参与调查人数的两成左右，看来绝大多数网民还是能够选择对艾滋病感染者奉献自己的爱心。

    预防艾滋病不是某个人或者某个群体的责任而是全社会每个人的责任，大多数网民还是能够意识到这一点，有61.49%的网民认为预防艾滋病是每个人的责任，还有一部分人认为预防艾滋病只是国家的责任或者是医院，防疫站或者社会的责任，这样的网民为数不少，加在一起占据四成左右。

    艾滋病固然可怕，可我们不能被它吓到，要从根本上战胜艾滋病必须有着坚强的信心，从意识上战胜它，想要战胜艾滋病前提就是要掌握并了解与艾滋病相关的知识，从而合理的与病魔做斗争，使艾滋病感染者和艾滋病患者都能够树立坚强的信心，从心理上战胜艾滋病，那么我们在了解了一定的艾滋病知识后会愿意告诉更多的人吗，答案是肯定的，参与调查的网民中有大约9成都会选择向更多的人传播艾滋病知识。艾滋病是全世界共同面对的一种疾病，防治艾滋病任重道远，需要全社会共同努力，相信通过大家的共同努力人类一定会在不久的将来战胜艾滋病.
