    荆楚网消息(记者江燕 通讯员覃世龙)什么是艾滋病?一个没有艾滋病病症的艾滋病病毒感染者仍可以将病毒传染给他人吗?进行性行为时,戴两个安全套会比戴一个安全套更安全?4月6号晚,一场名为“谈艾滋,说歧视,论关爱”的讲座在湖北大学思睿厅举行,主讲人香港艾滋病基金会总干事连爱珠女士,不时语出惊人,与现场同学分享艾滋病的基本知识与预防,以轻松幽默的口吻,与同学们交流有关艾滋病传播途径及对艾滋病患者的歧视等问题。桂希恩教授也参加了此次讲座。

    “什么是艾滋病?”当你看到“艾滋病”三个字,你的脑海里出现的是什么图画?连女士通过一个关于艾滋知识的小游戏让同学们意识到到自身对艾滋病的了解匮乏,并深入浅出地讲解了艾滋病的基本知识、HIV病毒的特性、传染原则,以及病人从感染到死亡的过程要经历窗口期、潜伏期再到发病、死亡这四个阶段。连女士还纠正了一些错误观点,特别强调“性交时戴两个安全套反而是不安全的。”“蚊子不能传播HIV病毒”、“女性比男性更易感染上艾滋病”等知识点。

    随后,连爱珠女士给大家提了一个讨论话题:假如你是一位神仙,可以救活一个艾滋病人,你会选他(她)是吸毒者、同性恋、家庭主妇、嫖客、还是妓女?现场做选择的同学都陈述了自己的理由,大多认为他们感染艾滋都是迫于某种原因的,有对同性恋者表示同情理解,也有人认为妓女也是社会弱势群体,应当得到帮助。

    连爱珠却对这些回答不甚满意,“当一个人需要帮助的时候,不要看他(她)是否已经有别人在帮助,而看你是否真心帮助和是否有能力帮助”、“当你帮助这些艾滋病患者的时候,是否问自己的内心,真的能做到不歧视,不偏见?”、“只有在认为他们是因为某种不得已的原因感染艾滋时,我们才会伸出援手,原来我们所谓的关爱、不歧视,是有条件的……”、“当我们无条件的去帮助了那些需要帮助的人,我们的生活会变得更有意义、更精彩!”

    接着,桂希恩教授作了精彩的演讲,他用身边的实例,讲述了大学生感染艾滋病的原因,借用一张张感人的图片,讲述自己与艾滋病患者共度难关的亲身经历,告诫大学生要保护自己,远离艾滋。他还提到了自己的一次美国之行:在一家医院,他发现艾滋病患者与非艾滋病患者同住一间病房,就问那位美国的医生为什么把他们安排在一起,令他想不到的是美国医生反问:“为什么不能把他们安排在一起?”桂希恩教授用了姚明与艾滋病患者一起进餐 、中国地质大学朱力亚的故事等很多实例呼吁广大学子同情、帮助艾滋病患者。

    现在的大学生生活在一个艾滋病流行的社会里,不管是否愿意,都直接或间接地接触着艾滋病。他勉励同学们,在完成大学学业时,要以智慧的头脑,健康的身体,饱满的精力和高尚的情操走向社会,为社会造福。

    最后,他用2001年艾滋病日主题“I care,  do You?”结束了此次演讲。
