温家宝将出席千年发展目标与艾滋病讨论会

中新社北京9月14日电 (记者 张朔)中国总理温家宝21日将赴纽约出席联合国千年发展目标高级别会议和第65届联合国大会一般性辩论。期间，他还将出席联合国艾滋病规划署举办的千年发展目标与艾滋病讨论会。
卫生部部长陈竺14日在北京就此访举行的中外媒体吹风会上，介绍千年发展目标与艾滋病讨论会背景及中国落实与卫生相关的千年发展目标的基本情况。
陈竺说，本次讨论会是在联合国艾滋病规划署提议下，由中国、尼日利亚和南非共同举办的。一是希望继续推动实现艾滋病预防、治疗及关怀的“普遍可及”这一全球目标，并将艾滋病防控和更广泛的千年发展目标联系起来。二是展示广大发展中国家应对艾滋病带来的挑战和实现千年发展目标的决心。三是呼吁发展中国家加强南南合作，相互帮助，共同应对挑战。四是呼吁发达国家、国际社会落实政治承诺，帮助发展中国家实现与卫生相关的千年发展目标。
陈竺说，千年发展目标有三项与卫生相关，即降低儿童死亡率、改善孕产妇保健、抗击艾滋病等疾病。中国已提前实现第一项目标。目前中国艾滋病快速蔓延的势头基本得到遏制，中国有信心在2015年实现艾滋病领域的千年发展目标。
在本次讨论会上，温家宝将介绍中国政府在艾滋病防控方面所做的努力及取得的成就，并就下一阶段加强在艾滋病防治领域的国际合作提出主张。
