红丝带健康包进入北京农民工社区

    新华网北京7月2日电(记者白旭)在北京农民工聚居地之一的朝阳区金盏乡皮村,几百名工友周六晚观看了一场特殊的表演。他们不但学到了有关艾滋病的知识,还领到了一个“健康包”。

    “这样的活动对于加强外来务工人员职业安全健康和预防艾滋病宣传教育有着重要的意义。”卫生部原副部长、中华红丝带基金副理事长彭玉说。

    在工人自己搭建的剧场里,尽管天气炎热,观众席上依然挤满了工人和他们的孩子。

    彭玉告诉他们,艾滋病作为一种新的传染病目前还是无法治愈,因此预防尤为重要。“我们的日子越过越好,大家都希望长寿不得病,所以要人人都知道怎样预防这个厉害的病,你们知道以后回去也要告诉自己的朋友和家人。”她说。

    尔后,红丝带基金向农民工发放了200个健康包。基金会副理事长叶大伟说,这只是第一期活动,今后他们争取使项目覆盖皮村的所有8000名外来务工人员。

    来自河北的于凤娥领到了一个紫色的小包。她打开以后发现,里面有一个口罩、一条毛巾、一副扑克牌、一盒安全套、一套指甲剪、一张宣传画和一本艾滋病防治知识手册。

    “这个活动挺好的,”这个来自河北的30岁女工说,“平时我们看电视机会很少,因此只能从这样的途径了解艾滋病。”

    小于在附近一家五金加工厂工作,以前听说过艾滋病,有点害怕。“我了解了它怎么传播,知道怎么能不得病,就不害怕了。”她说。

    她的老乡、31岁的张永健表示尽管他来北京做厨师已经七八年了,以前没怎么听说过艾滋病。“可能很多人都像我这样,所以这样的宣传活动应该更多一些。”

    位于东五环外的皮村距离北京的国贸商圈只有一个小时车程,但是这里却是一个典型的外来务工人员社区,外来人口和本地人的比例为八比一。在北京,这样的地方并不少见。而在全中国,目前的农民工总数已超过2亿。

    “红丝带健康包”项目是由全国工商联和国务院艾滋病防治工作委员会办公室共同主办,中华红丝带基金负责具体实施的。红丝带基金计划今年内在北京发放30000个健康包。

    叶大伟告诉记者,他们在通过企业推广健康包的时候遇上了一些困难。“尽管企业都觉得这是好事,但是‘艾滋病’这样的字眼让他们有所顾忌,”他说,“因此我们需要转变思路,健康包进社区是一种新的尝试。”

"This event is fine," the 30-year-old worker from Hebei, said, "We usually have few opportunities to watch TV, so the only way to understand the AIDS from that."

    
Less than in a nearby metal processing plant, the former had heard of AIDS, a little scared. "I understand how it spread, how can you not know the disease, not afraid." She said.

    
Her fellow 31-year-old Zhang Yongjian, said although he has been chef to Beijing in 2078, and how not previously heard of AIDS. "Many people may have like me, so this campaign should be some more."

    
The outer rings of the skin in the East Village from Beijing's China World shopping district is only an hour's drive, but here is a typical migrant workers community, the immigrant population and the proportion of local people is eight to one. In Beijing, a place like this are not uncommon. In the whole of China, the current total number of migrant workers has more than 200 million.

    
"Red Ribbon health package" project by the National Federation and the State Council AIDS Working Committee Office co-sponsored by the China Red Ribbon Foundation is responsible for implementing the. Red Ribbon Foundation plans to grant 30,000 within the Beijing health kits.

    
Mr David Yip told reporters that they promote health through the package when the company encountered some difficulties.
