  新华网肯尼亚基苏木10月30日电(记者王雅楠)10月末的肯尼亚城市基苏木紫薇花盛开。在距离基苏木市中心不远的基苏木东区医院的后院里,雅克利纳·奥东戈正和女儿在草坪上嬉笑打闹。看到记者一行走来,她伸出双臂,用热情的拥抱和略带羞涩的笑容把我们迎了进去。

  奥东戈现在是肯尼亚抗击艾滋病病毒母婴传播项目基苏木市的协调人,她同时是母亲互助组织“m2m”(mothers2mothers)的成员,意即“指导母亲”。不过,更为特殊的是,她是艾滋病病毒携带者。

  前年,奥东戈在孕期第四个月被诊断为艾滋病病毒携带者。奥东戈回忆说,在接到诊断通知的那一瞬间,她想过堕胎,甚至想过自杀。她把消息告诉了丈夫,希望他能够面对现实去进行艾滋病病毒检测,但得到的却是对方冷言冷语的质疑、唾骂,丈夫甚至把她从家中赶了出来。无家可归的奥东戈只能回到医院寻求社区医生的帮助。

  在基苏木东区医院,奥东戈认识了“m2m”基苏木工作小组的“指导母亲”。她说:“她们告诉我,成为一个艾滋病病毒携带者母亲并不可怕,我还有机会让我的孩子摆脱病毒的侵扰。”

  每天,奥东戈按时服用药物,保证膳食健康均衡。“这个时候,药物或许只是辅助,保持一颗时常微笑的心才是保护我身体里那个新生命的良方,”奥东戈望着远处的女儿说道。
 
    去年,4.3公斤重的女儿出生,给奥东戈带来惊喜。“她胖乎乎的就来到了世上,我的生命有了真正的希望。”在女儿出生6周后,奥东戈来到医院为她进行了首次艾滋病病毒检测,结果显示为阴性。在随后的半年中,奥东戈始终坚持母乳喂养,并同时按时按量进行药物治疗,在孩子6个月时进行的检测同样证明了女儿的健康。“就在上个月,我刚刚带她接受了第三次检测,结果依然让我放心。”说到这里,奥东戈的兴奋溢于言表。如今,19个月大的女儿正在健康、茁壮地成长。

  “这一切都要感谢联合国儿童基金会与‘m2m’共同发起的‘指导母亲’项目,是它让我找到了活下去的最好理由,也给予了我的孩子生命的美好。”开朗的奥东戈显得有些激动。

  经过漫长而成功的抗击艾滋病病毒母婴传播的治疗后,奥东戈现在正在用自己的亲身经历作为例子,鼓励更多肯尼亚携带艾滋病病毒的妇女正视现实并维护自己孕育生命的权利。

  据统计,截至目前,“m2m”在撒哈拉以南非洲9个国家设有项目点,“指导母亲”总数已达1700人。

  目前,肯尼亚共有艾滋病病毒携带者140万人,其中8.1万为孕产妇。由于缺乏孕产期抗艾治疗,因母婴传播感染艾滋病病毒的肯尼亚婴幼儿中超过一半在2岁之前夭折,年均新增通过母婴传播感染艾滋病病毒的婴幼儿多达2.2万名。

  令人欣慰的是,自去年起,世界卫生组织、联合国儿童基金会和联合国艾滋病规划署联手发起了“联合国艾滋病联合项目”,在非洲艾滋病重灾区提倡特别关爱携带艾滋病病毒的孕妇,以阻断母婴传播。迄今,这一项目在包括南非和博茨瓦纳在内的15个非洲国家取得成效。世界卫生组织日前发表报告说,2009年,上述国家有半数孕妇参加了艾滋病病毒测试和咨询,各国为80%以上感染艾滋病病毒的孕妇提供了相应治疗。

According to statistics, as of now, "m2m" in sub-Saharan Africa has project sites in 9 countries, "guiding his mother," total number of 1,700.
