WASHINGTON, July 8 (Xinhua the Admiralty) 8, U.S. researchers published findings that they found two can "bind" and in more than 90% and the variation of strains of HIV antibodies. They hope to use the results to develop an AIDS vaccine.
Both have a broad spectrum of the AIDS virus and the ability of antibodies from an HIV-infected blood. Although these were infected with HIV, but no disease symptoms.
The researchers developed a new device to use their discovery, this infection of B cells to produce specific antibodies of these two. In the antibody "bind" and in the process and the AIDS virus, the researchers managed to antibody imaging analysis revealed that their mechanism of action, such as the one called VCR01 antibodies can mimic the body's CD4 immune cells, "binding "HIV gp120 shell membrane protein, which in the mechanism of HIV invasion of the body plays a very important role.
The study will be published in the 9th edition of the American "Science" magazine. The study led the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci said in a statement found in those with broad-spectrum and capacity of the antibody, and explain how they play a role in the process of the search for an AIDS vaccine, "is excited of progress.
