Brazil's National Petroleum Agency (NPA) has shut down an oil platform operated by state oil company Petrobras following a small fire.

NPA said that Petrobras was ordered to halt operations at the P-33 rig in the Campos Basin's Marlim Field as a safety precaution.

Petrobras said the fire was caused by a leak in a vapour pipe on the P-35 platform, also operating in the Campos Basin, but that it did not interrupt operations or cause any personal or material damage.

The platform has had a series of malfunctions in the past two months, highlighting safety concerns at the company's offshore facilities.

NPA said it will carry out an inspection of the 20,000bopd P-33 platform.（13 August 2010）
 

巴西国家石油局已经因为一个小小的火灾关闭了一处由国家石油公司操作的石油平台。

巴西国家石油局说巴西石油公司被迫关闭了一处位于甘波斯海域Marlim 油田P-33油井，以此作为一种安全预警措施。

巴西石油公司透露火灾是由于P-35平台上的一个蒸汽管泄漏事故引起，该平台同样运行在在甘波斯海域，但是事故并没有中断操作或导致任何人员或材料的破坏。

这个石油平台在过去的两个月里已经发生了一系列的故障（失灵或失效事件），让国家石油公司的海洋石油设施的安全问题成为了关注的焦点。

巴西国家石油局说会对日产原油20,000桶的P-33石油平台进行一次检查。
