欧委会通过欧盟防治艾滋病五年战略

　　国际在线消息（记者许欣）：欧盟委员会26日通过了2009－2013年欧盟防治艾滋病五年战略，以有效控制艾滋病在欧盟及其邻国内的传播。

　　此项战略包括对艾滋病的预防、检测以及关注重点人群和地区这三大工作领域。总体目标是在2013年前减少欧盟成员国内的艾滋病新感染者的数量；改善艾滋病的预防、治疗以及护理等工作；改善欧盟及其邻国内艾滋病感染者的生活质量。战略同时呼吁所有国家机构和非政府组织都能行动起来，完善政策目标，同时加强预防艾滋病的公众宣传力度。

　　欧盟委员会负责卫生事务的委员瓦西利乌（女）表示，欧盟鼓励每个公民为预防艾滋病负起责任，同时消除对艾滋病感染者的歧视。根据欧委会的统计，从2001年到2007年间，欧盟及其邻国的艾滋病感染者数量从150万人上升到220万人。

International online news (Xinhua Xin Xu): The European Commission adopted on 26 of the 2009-2013 five-year strategy for the EU to Fight AIDS in order to effectively control the AIDS epidemic in the spread of the EU and its neighboring countries.

The strategy includes AIDS prevention, testing and focus groups and regions in these three areas of work. The overall objective is to reduce by 2013 the EU member countries the number of new infections of AIDS; to improve AIDS prevention, treatment and care work; to improve the EU and its neighboring countries in quality of life of people living with HIV. Strategy also called on all national institutions and non-governmental organizations can act to improve the policy objectives, while strengthening public awareness of AIDS prevention efforts.

EU Commissioner for Health Affairs, a member of Vassiliou (female) said that the European Union to encourage every citizen to take responsibility for the prevention of AIDS, while the elimination of discrimination against people living with HIV. According to European Commission statistics, from 2001 to 2007, the EU and its neighboring countries, the number of HIV infected persons rose from 150 million to 220 million people.
